Requested alternative of cleaning solvent
We are looking for an appropriate cleaning solvent suitable for workshops using paints, inks, varnishes and adhesives for: cleaning of application materials (included for screen printing) or degreasing and cleaning of metallic parts composites.
The current solvent that we use for Tech wash impacts the insulation of the power cables and deforms them.
4 cables were immersed in this particular solvent for an hour and a half and a visible impact was noticed.
The insulation of the cables modified and a significant loss of rigidity occured.
The solvent is a mixture that contains 15-20% 2-(2-butoxyethoxy)ethanol; diethyleneglycol monobutyl ether
The alternative should have the same cleaning properties but to ensure that the relevant parts of the equipment are not affected by its adverse effects (no deformation or modification of the structure or physical properties (loss of rigidity) from the substances in the mixture.
