Sciessent Curb® Fluorine-Free Durable Water Repellent

Sciessent Curb® is a fluorine free durable water repellent for textiles that is made without perfluorinated chemicals or fluorinated silicones. 

It is certified by Oeko-Tex, bluesign and GOTS and its water repellent performance and durability is equivalent to C6 PFC technology.

In addition, Curb is a highly biodegradable chemical. Curb® was tested using the OECD 301B method. The results of this testing showed that Curb® is 79.1% biodegradable. This is very close to the maximum of 79.8%, and is considered rapidly biodegradable.

The Sciessent Curb® durable water repellent (DWR) adds liquid-shedding coating properties to fabrics, causing liquid droplets to bead and roll off the surface of your products. Curb®is completely fluorine-free and can be combined with our odor-control Lava®product and our antimicrobial Agion®product for ultimate protection.

The technology behind Sciessent Curb®ensures that breathability and air permeability are preserved on any treated garment, thus ensuring maximum comfort.

Practical Implementation: 

It’s simple.  Contact Sciessent to arrange either an in-house lab trial (your facility or our lab) or to go direct to mill trial with Curb®.  We perform development spray rating testing at Sciessent; certification or launch testing can be independent or at Sciessent – your decision. Sciessent has technicians and distribution points throughout Asia and the Americas.  There is no need to work through a distributor’s tech team.
