Dioctyl adipate (DOA) - plasticizer

Summary

Dioctyl Adipate (DOA) is a typical, cold-resistant plasticizer for polyvinyl chloride, chloroethylene copolymer, polystyrene, nitrocellulose, ethyl cellulose and synthetic rubber.

Description

Its plasticizing rate is high and its color changes a little at high temperature. The products made with it have good softness at low temperature and lightproof. When processed it shows its good lubricity. The soft feeling of products is better. Its application is often in combination with main plasticizers such as DOP, DBP etc. for making cold-resistant agricultural plastic thin film, packing membrane for freezing food, cable, coating, leatherette, sheet materials and water pipes in the open air etc. Compounds made with it have low viscosity at the beginning and a good stability of viscosity.
